The first key visual from director Mamoru Oshii's latest TV series "Vlad Love" has been unveiled.
Oshii, known for directing "Ghost in the Shell," "Mobile Police Patlabor" and a slew of other hits, penned the script based on his original story ideas and serves as the series' executive director.
The anime legend teamed with director Junji Nishimura for the project, who he worked with on the "Urusei Yatsura" animated TV series.
Sound director Kazuhiro Wakabayashi and composer Kenji Kawai, members of the so-called "Team Oshii," are also onboard.
The story centers around Mitsugu Bamba, a high school girl obsessed with donating blood. One day, she meets a beautiful girl, who appears to be from overseas, in a mobile blood donation vehicle.
The girl looks extremely pale and is about to faint, but suddenly trashes the vehicle just before having her blood drawn. She then loses consciousness and Mitsugu takes her home.
