Tokyo metropolitan government officials confirmed 31 new COVID-19 cases on Nov. 11, up 17 from the same day a week ago.
For the week ending Nov. 11, the daily average of new cases in the capital was 25.6, which was 132.6 percent of the previous week’s average, topping 100 percent for three days in a row.
There were 9 COVID-19 patients reported in Tokyo with symptoms serious enough to require a ventilator or other equipment to breathe. The figure dropped by one from the previous day.
There was also one death in his 70s confirmed from COVID-19.
