OSAKA--Osaka Prefecture on April 26 confirmed 924 new COVID-19 cases, topping the 719 reported a week ago and setting a record count for a Monday.
The prefecture also logged 15 deaths from the disease on the day.
The latest figures brought the prefecture’s cumulative number of COVID-19 cases to 76,549 and its death toll to 1,376.
