SERA, Hiroshima Prefecture—Around 30,000 flowers have been arranged to depict Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani taking a swing in the Hana no Eki Sera sightseeing farm here.
The flower art is 70 meters long and 50 meters wide and also shows 17, Ohtani’s jersey number.
The plants include nemophila and viola, and come in six colors, such as white, blue and orange.
The art can be viewed from high ground at the all-weather flower farm, which spreads over 7 hectares of hills in Sera, Hiroshima Prefecture.
“Ohtani’s play always cheers me up, so I want to cheer everyone up with flowers as well,” Shota Yayama, vice president of the facility, said.
Viewers can enjoy the flowers until mid-May.
