NAGAKUTE, Aichi Prefecture--Studio Ghibli Inc. is offering fans the rare opportunity to see an Oscar statuette by putting the coveted award it won for Best Animated Feature on display at Ghibli Park here until the end of August.

The legendary anime studio received the Oscar for its "The Boy and the Heron," directed by Hayao Miyazaki, at the 96th Academy Awards.

The golden statuette is placed in the middle of the radio room at the Ghibli's Grand Warehouse area, displayed on a red piece of cloth reminiscent of the famed red carpet.

"We'd like fans to see the significance and shine of the Oscar statuette," said Kiyofumi Nakajima, vice president of the anime studio.

Featuring attractions inspired by beloved films, Ghibli Park initially opened in November 2022.

Its final area, "Valley of Witches," opened on March 16 this year.
