NAKANO, Nagano Prefecture--A man accused of killing two police officers was rearrested on July 7 on a third suspicion of murder.
Masanori Aoki, 32, was arrested on suspicion of stabbing to death Yukie Murakami, 66, near his home on May 25, Nagano prefectural police said.
Another woman, Yasuko Takeuchi, 70, who was taking a stroll with Murakami, was also fatally stabbed, and police are working on arresting Aoki for that crime, as well.
Aoki had been previously arrested on suspicion of using a hunting rifle to fatally shoot two police officers, Yoshiki Tamai, 46, and Takuo Ikeuchi, 61.
