Shueisha Inc. announced that its Shonen Jump + manga service will have simultaneous English releases for all new serializations starting in 2023. The English editions will be available on Shueisha’s Manga Plus website and app for overseas fans.

The company said the move is aimed at producing hit manga titles whose most recent episodes are likely to attract global attention.

The publisher opened the Manga Plus platform in 2019 for readers outside Japan.

Currently, it is available in English, Spanish, Thai, Indonesian, Portuguese, Russian and French.

While some titles from Shonen Jump + are also offered on Manga Plus, all new original serializations on the platform will receive same-day English releases from 2023, the company said.

Shonen Jump + was launched in 2014 to find new talent in the digital age and produce comics that outshine those serialized in Shueisha’s flagship manga anthology Weekly Shonen Jump.

It has spawned popular titles such as “Spy x Family,” “Kaiju No. 8” and “Dandadan.”

It also runs several series surpassing 1 million views per day.
