OSAKA--Universal Studios Japan will open a haunted house collaborating with the popular “Gegege no Kitaro” horror manga series during its Halloween event.
The haunted house will open on Sept. 11 as part of the theme park’s “No Limit! Halloween” celebration, which runs from Sept. 10 to Nov. 7.
USJ’s seasonal tradition of having cast members dressed as zombies roaming around the park will also return for the first time in two years.
The park operator will beef up measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Visitors are currently limited to 5,000 per day. While tickets are available at the door on the first-come-first-sold basis, USJ is calling on visitors to purchase tickets in advance for an assigned date during the run of the Halloween event.
Annual pass holders can usually enter without a reservation. But they are required to make advance reservations on the park’s official website during the event.
USJ will also open a new virtual reality (VR) roller coaster themed on the hit animated film “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” and other attractions on Sept. 17.
