The latest tally for cases of COVID-19 infection in Tokyo on Aug. 29 came to 247, the fourth consecutive day for the capital’s daily count to go above 200.
The Tokyo metropolitan government said 72 of the patients were in their 20s, while 44 were in their 40s. They were followed by 42 people in their 30s, 26 in their 50s and 22 in their 60s.
Fifteen individuals were between the ages of 10 and 19, while 10 were in their 70s. The remaining seven were in their 80s.
The Aug. 29 tally basically reflected the positive results of tests conducted on Aug. 26 when 5,486 were performed, according to preliminary figures released by Tokyo officials.
