The fourth and final installment in the “Evangelion” reboot film series, “Shin Evangelion Gekijo-ban:||” (“Evangelion: 3.0+1.0”), will hit theaters on June 27.
The reboot films started with “Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone” in 2007, followed by “Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance” in 2009 and “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo” in 2012.
Hideaki Anno, the creator of the original TV series, which aired from 1995 to 1996, serves as chief director for the reboot series.
