Sunflowers are in full bloom at Showa Kinen Park in western Tokyo and a couple planning to wed soon came to take commemorative photos.
Around 47,000 sunflowers adorn the park that straddles the cities of Tachikawa and Akishima.
“I love sunflowers and wanted to have photos taken while they are at their best,” said Risako Toyoda, 29, on Aug. 6. “This is the perfect day for a photo session because of the fine weather.”
She smiled for the camera along with her fiance, Kaii Nakayama, 30.
Other visitors to the park were also busy snapping photos with cameras and smartphones.
The sunflowers are expected to remain at their peak through the three-day weekend.
