Police have ruled out foul play in the death of actress-singer Miho Nakayama, who was found dead in a bathtub at her home in Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward, investigative sources said.
Tokyo’s Metropolitan Police Department reached the conclusion after reviewing the results of an autopsy conducted on Dec. 8 and a search of the site where Nakayama was found dead on Dec. 6.
The MPD did not reveal the specific cause of death of the 54-year-old award-winning entertainer, citing requests from her bereaved family.
Nakayama’s agency on Dec. 8 said on her official website that the cause of death was “determined to be an unintentional accident that occurred while she was taking a bath.”
The website also repeated the MPD’s conclusion that her death was not suspicious.
