URAYASU, Chiba Prefecture--Tokyo DisneySea’s newest port set to open June 6 will offer attractions that can’t be found at any other Disney theme park around the world.
“We have created a new world of Disney fantasy that we can boast about to the world,” said Yumiko Takano, chair and CEO of Oriental Land Co., which operates the Disney parks here, during the commemoration ceremony held on Feb. 27. “We believe it will be a one-of-a-kind place that attracts global attention.”
With less than 100 days to go until Fantasy Springs opens, Oriental Land unveiled scale models and images of the nearly completed entrance to the area and other parts of the attractions to the media.
The new port consists of three areas inspired by popular Disney films, including Frozen Kingdom based on “Frozen,” Rapunzel’s Forest featuring the world of “Tangled” and Peter Pan’s Never Land, in addition to the park-integrated Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel.
Visitors will be greeted by a magical spring surrounded by rock sculptures featuring Disney characters at the port’s entrance.
With a castle, tavern and other structures from the movies faithfully re-created at the new port, guests can feel like they’re entering the world of Disney animation.
Restaurants in each area will serve hamburgers, brownies and other food and drinks reflecting the worldview of each film.
In addition to a ticket to Tokyo DisneySea, guests will need a Standby Pass (free) or Disney Premier Access (paid) to enter Fantasy Springs.
