Combining a retro-inspired exterior design and cutting-edge technology, sales have soared in Europe where the model was pre-sold.

In Japan, shipments of motorcycles with an engine displacement of between 51 and 125 cc also increased as a result of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The model is suitable for city rides and touring, Yamaha said.
