Two former teachers were arrested on suspicion of taking images of a girl’s underwear at a cram school classroom in Tokyo.

The Metropolitan Police Department announced on Oct. 2 the arrests of Sosho Mori, 24, and Narumi Nakamura, 26, former teachers at Yotsuya Otsuka Inc., a major exam-preparation school chain.

Mori is suspected of placing his smartphone camera under an unsuspecting 7-year-old student’s skirt in early August. Investigators believe Nakamura helped Mori commit the crime.

Previously, Mori was arrested for allegedly committing a similar offense against another student, age 9, in May and June.

Police also believe Mori shared the images with members of an online chat group who share pedophiliac obsessions.

He also allegedly provided the group with the victims’ private information, including their names, addresses and their parents’ phone numbers.

Mori allegedly stole the private information of more than 10 students by abusing his position to access his employer’s customer database.

Police have referred the two men, along with the cram school operator, to prosecutors on suspicion of violating the Personal Information Protection Law.
