HOKUTO, Yamanashi Prefecture--Guests staying at a luxury resort hotel surrounded by pristine nature and perched on Mount Yatsugatake here may be in for a spooky experience in October.
Hoshino Resorts Risonare Yatsugatake will be "infested" with zombie porters, witch patissiers, werewolf guards and other monsters to welcome guests during the annual Halloween event throughout the month.
The Halloween Hotel 2023 event is the 17th installment in the series of spooky celebrations.
The hotel's main Piment Street will be lined with 700 jack-o'-lanterns of 50 varieties during the event, while other tricks and treats will also be offered for visitors to fully enjoy the Halloween festivities.
Costumes such as hats, capes, dresses and tuxedos will be available for rental.
