NAKANO, Nagano Prefecture—A man armed with a hunting gun barricaded himself in a local leader’s home here after killing a woman and injuring three others, including two police officers, on May 25.
The conditions of the three injured were not immediately known.
According to police, the suspect was holed up in the home of Masamichi Aoki, chairman of the Nakano city assembly.
Police are calling on residents to stay at their homes.
They had received a report about a man holding a hunting gun around 4:25 p.m. on May 25.
