YOKOZE, Saitama Prefecture--Amid the bitter cold, giant icicles lit up by an array of colored lights are warming the hearts of spectators at an annual winter illumination event here.
Shifting LED lights illuminating the icicles in colors including purple, green and blue are creating a magical world for all venturing out into the frigid winter nights.
The light show spotlighting the Ashigakubo icicles is being held on Fridays, weekends and public holidays through Feb. 23. Reservations are required for evening visits on weekends and public holidays.
