Tokyo metropolitan government officials reported 14 fresh COVID-19 cases on Dec. 3, a decrease of five from the same day the week before.
The daily average of new cases for the week ending Dec. 3 in the capital was 14.3, which was 91.1 percent of the previous week’s average.
Tokyo officials also reported one fatality from COVID-19, a male in his 40s.
There were also two patients with symptoms serious enough to require a ventilator or other equipment to breathe. The figure was a decrease of two from the previous day.
