Tokyo reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Nov. 2, down 11 from the same day a week ago, and the death of a patient in his 90s.
The latest tally brought the daily average of new novel coronavirus infections in the capital over the week through Nov. 2 to 21.9, or 76.6 percent of the figure for the preceding week.
