Fans who can't get enough of the "Psycho-Pass" animated TV series are in for a treat.
The third season of the show will conclude with a feature film adaptation.
"Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector" will hit cinemas in spring.
The story will focus on inspectors Arata Shindo, Kei Mikhail Ignatov and other members of the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division Unit 1 probing into cases involving characters called "foxes" and the mystery of an organization called Bifrost.
It will also feature the final showdown between Shindo and Ignatov.
The original sci-fi anime series is set in the near future when technology can determine people's state of mind and measure the probability they will commit a crime. It follows detectives as they hunt down "latent" criminals using a Dominator gun.
The first season of the "Psycho-Pass" series premiered in 2012, followed by season 2 in 2014 and a feature film adaptation in 2015.
The three-part "Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System" film was released in 2019, with "Psycho-Pass 3" airing from October that year to introduce Shindo and Ignatov.
The "First Inspector" film will also be streamed exclusively worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.
