It's going to be a spicy one.

Heatstroke warnings have been issued for Tokyo, Wakayama, Tokushima and some prefectures in Kyushu by the Japan Meteorological Agency and the Environment Ministry.

People are advised to use air conditioning, take frequent breaks and drink plenty of water.

According to the JMA, highs of 36 degrees in Toyooka in Hyogo Prefecture and Miyazaki city are expected.

The high for Nagoya is forecast to hit 34 degrees and the mercury in central Tokyo could reach 32 degrees.

After July 4, the soaring temperatures are expected to last throughout the month so the JMA stressed the necessity of taking continued precautions against heatstroke.
