ELMAU, Germany--Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced additional economic, financial services and military-related sanctions against Russia for its war against Ukraine during a Group of Seven summit being held here.

Kishida on June 26 said the new sanctions include a ban on gold imports from Russia.

The additional sanctions prohibit providing Russia with services in accounting, trusts, consulting and other areas.

They also freeze the assets of about 70 individuals and organizations in Russia.

Japan will also expand the ban on exports to organizations related to the Russian military.
