Nine new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Tokyo on Nov. 28 were 11 fewer than the previous Sunday, metropolitan health officials said.
The daily average of fresh cases over the week through Nov. 28 came to 14.1, which was 18.5 percent fewer than the figure from the preceding week.
No new related deaths were reported.
The number of patients with severe symptoms, which the metropolitan government defines as those who require special equipment to breathe, stood at seven. The figure was unchanged from the day before.
