Studio Ghibli Inc. announced it is releasing scene stills from all of its films for free.
The company's website published a handwritten message by producer Toshio Suzuki, saying: "Please use them at your discretion within the scope of common sense."
As a taster of things to come, the renowned anime production company on Sept. 18 released 50 stills each from a total of eight movies, including recent titles, for a total of 400 images.
The titles are: "When Marnie Was There," "The Tale of Princess Kaguya," "The Wind Rises," "From Up on Poppy Hill," "The Secret World of Arrietty," "Ponyo," "Tales from Earthsea" and "Spirited Away."
