Tokyo confirmed 26 new cases of COVID-19 infection on June 6, the sixth day in a row of double-digit figures.

The latest count brings total novel coronavirus infections in the capital to 5,369.

A “Tokyo alert” issued June 2 urges residents to be especially vigilant about a second wave of infections.
