The mouse from the Chinese zodiac, ninja and goldfish are just some of the unusual original designs featured on an array of towels, socks and other items at specialty embroidery shop Kyo-To-To.
The shop also boasts more than 600 designs for patches whose unique motifs range from "yokai" hobgoblins to sushi and mushrooms.
The embroidery brand's name, Kyo-To-To, reflects its sources of inspiration, Kyoto's traditions and Tokyo's modernity. The shop says its mission is to promote Japanese culture through everyday accessories.
