The fourth and final installment in the “Evangelion” reboot film series will hit cinemas in June 2020.
The second teaser for “Shin Evangelion Gekijo-ban:||” (“Evangelion: 3.0+1.0”) has been unveiled at theaters nationwide. Posters and fliers have also been distributed.
The reboot films started with “Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone” in 2007, followed by “Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance” in 2009 and “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo” in 2012.
Hideaki Anno, the creator of the original TV series, which aired from 1995 to 1996, serves as chief director for the reboot series.
An excerpt from “Evangelion: 3.0+1.0” covering the first 10 minutes and 40 seconds from the film was shown at the Japan Expo in Paris during a stage event on July 6.
