OSAKA--While visitors won't be stomping on goombas or saving the princess, Super Nintendo World set to open next year here is looking to be an immersive experience.
Universal Studios Japan (USJ) released a teaser image on Nov. 21 showing the layout of the area in the theme park, featuring the castles of Peach and Bowser, as well as other scenes from the iconic game franchise.
An attraction featuring the trusty dinosaur Yoshi will allow visitors to ride on his back, USJ said.
Another attraction that recreates the popular Mario Kart game is also expected to be a major draw.
"We'll make full use of the latest technology to impress fans of the games," said a USJ official in charge of the area.
