OSAKA--If you suffer from vertigo, best to give the latest attraction of Tsutenkaku Tower here a pass.
The landmark structure opened a new attraction on Dec. 21 where visitors can peer to the ground below from a height of 92.5 meters.
The "Tip The Tsutenkaku" is a small area in the special outdoor observation deck that was completed at the top of the tower in 2015.
The platform, 1.5 meters wide and 5.4 meters long, juts out from the observation deck, giving visitors an unobstructed view of what lies below as well as a panoramic look of the city itself.
A family from Nagano Prefecture found the experience frightening but thrilling.
To enter the special outdoor observation deck requires an additional 500 yen ($4.60) fee for senior high school students and older people, while those aged between 5 through junior high school must fork out 300 yen. There is a regular admission fee of 800 yen for adults and 400 yen for junior high school students and younger to enter the tower itself.
