TSUSHIMA, Aichi Prefecture--People of about 10 religious persuasions from across Japan collectively prayed for peace in Ukraine at a mosque here on May 5.
The Rev. Paul Koroluk, 56, of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, called on fellow religious leaders and followers to create a better world together.
To deepen interfaith understanding, the participants at the gathering, organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Japan, shared how their respective religions, including Christianity, Buddhism and Judaism, view war and peace.
They prayed for an early end to the war in Ukraine through their respective methods of prayer at the end of the event.
