Tokyo reported fewer than 500 fresh cases of COVID-19 for the seventh straight day on Feb. 13.
Metropolitan government officials said the 369 tally put the daily average of new cases at 388.3 for the one-week period.
That amounts to 64.6 percent of the previous week’s daily average.
Officials said 104 patients were deemed to have serious symptoms that require ventilators or an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) device, which circulates blood through an artificial lung. The figure represents an increase of two over the previous day.
