With the postponed competitions now more than a year away, some parts of the stadiums built for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics are being dismantled for safety reasons.

According to the organizers, they are only taking things apart that could be dangerous to leave in place, such as temporary stands, until the Olympics and Paralympics are held next summer.

On June 9, dismantled stands were removed by a crane at Aomi Urban Sports Park in Tokyo's Koto Ward, where the sports climbing competition is scheduled to be held.
