Tokyo confirmed 39 new cases of novel coronavirus infections on April 27, the second consecutive day the figure has fallen below 100, according to sources.
The previous day, 72 people tested positive for the virus in the capital, the first time in 13 days that the number did not reach the century mark.
A total number of confirmed cases in Tokyo was 3,908 as of April 26.
