A “Crayon Shin-chan” spin-off anime, “Super Shiro” will start airing Oct. 14 on AbemaTV and Videopass streaming services.
The film's production company released a teaser ahead of the series' debut that reveals the actors who voice the characters.
Critically acclaimed director Masaaki Yuasa serves as the anime's chief director.
“Super Shiro” centers around Shiro, the pet dog of mischievous kindergartener Crayon Shin-chan.
But Shiro is no ordinary canine. It's actually a superhero who needs to retrieve the legendary bone called “Bobobobobone,” which contains the power to rule the world.
To prevent it falling into the wrong hands, Shiro must battle an evil inventor dog named Dekapoo.
Yuasa worked on “Crayon Shin-chan” in its early years and also its feature film adaptations. His other credits include “Devilman Crybaby,” “Ride Your Wave” and “Lu Over the Wall,” which won the Cristal for a Feature Film award at the 2017 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
