Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who served as character designer and key animation supervisor for the original “Mobile Suit Gundam” animated TV series is among those who will attend the event.
He provided an original illustration for the poster of the film festival.
“We’d like the audience at the theater to experience the fierce energy of the creators gushing out of the screen several decades after (the releases of their movies),” said Yoshihide Kondo, general producer of the festival who was in charge of promoting the “Gundam” film trilogy at Shochiku Co.
